Résumé :	In the UK, putative fathers are encouraged to be involved in antenatal and maternal health care, in the belief that involving men as early as possible lays the foundation for better, more involved fatherhood. However, integrating men into maternity care can have hitherto unexplored ethical complexities, as shown in this study led by Dr Heather Draper and Dr Jonathan Ives. Beyond ethical justifications for involving men in antenatal and maternity health care, constraints appear, such as the medical setting itself, which may lead to some problematic medicalisation of men's transition to fatherhood.
