Industries chimiques et apparentées | Résumé : | Many industries depend heavily on electrochemical technology in their production processes. The aim of this book is to build a bridge from fundamental electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering to industrial electrochemistry by demonstrating how an understanding of the fundamentals is essential to the efficient design and operation of the process. All applications of electrochemistry are based on the same principles of fundamental electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering. Thus, the new edition of Industrial Electrochemistry begins with a discussion of fundamental concepts and then a much expanded chapter on electrochemical engineering. The following ten chapters cover particular industries and processes. The first nine of these have been fully updated to take account of developments in electrochemical technology since publication of the first edition and the book concludes with a new chapter on the highly topical subject of electrochemical sensors and monitoring techniques.
Industrial Electrochemistry is well illustrated throughout and each chapter includes discussion of fundamental, technological and economic aspects. It is intended for all research workers in electrochemical science or engineering who require knowledge of electrochemical practices in industry and final year undergraduate and postgraduate students in chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science. | Note de contenu : | Contents:
